Isle of Man, Extremely Rare this 1972 1/2 Pence with a record mintage of a mere 1,000 coins. This is the Business strike, Superb Full RED, Gem BU. Very few of the 1,000 coins were released and I would guess that maybe only a few hundred coins made it to collectors hands. I have been looking for these coins for over 20 years and this is the first time I have acquired a few of these rare dates. From 1972, 1973 and 1974, mintage of 1,000 coins were struck for all the Minor denomination from 1/2 Pence to the 50 Pence. All are extremely rare and demand is always high on these extremely rare dates. A very rare coin and a very nice addition to your collection.
