Very Rare Mule Variety of the 1961 Half Crown, 2/6. Rare in high grade, This NGC Certified NGC 55, only one graded in 55 and 4 Higher. Sold a NGC 63 for over $2500 last year and way Undervalued. Very rare since many were heavily circulated. The Mule was struck using the dies from 1928-1937. The dies are different with the following details, the "2" the base of the 2 is longer, the small "d" is open and not closed, the "PM" is more to the left of the Horses Hoff, the "I" is closer to the "Q" and the Horse's Tail is Wider with more Hair. This one is very nice high grade that shows nice high point detail, sharp muscles, nice original fields, sharp high rims, harp is very well defined along with the strings and decorations. A rare find and a nice addition to your collection. Estimated striking of this Variety "Mule" is 50,000 coins which is extremely low and this date were heavily circulated and very rare to find in mint condition.
